Lumber End Tally Mini-Printing Program

What am I?

This small Microsoft Access program is a printing program which takes bundle information that currently resides on your handheld computer and lets you print out numerous reports.  This program is located on your laptop, PC, or netbook and takes information uploaded onto a flash memory stick, CF, or SD card immediatedly from your handheld unit.  Then when the program is started, you can review and print out all types of reports.

What Reports Can I Print?

  • Bundle Listing in Bundle Number Order
  • Bundle Listing in Species, Thickness, and Grade Order
  • Lumber Pack Detail with Gross and Net Footage, Gross Only Footage, or Net Only Footage
  • Shipment Summary with Bundle and Footage Information (Gross/Net, Gross Only, Net Only)
  • Shipment Detail with Bundle and Piece Count Information (Gross/Net, Gross Only, Net Only)
  • All Bundles in a Shipment (Gross/Net, Gross Only, Net Only)

Why Should I Buy?

  • The mini-printing program prints all of the reports that the handheld units print off, but it prints off fancier looking reports.
  • These reports also can be printed on in-house printers.  You don't have to buy a printer specific to your handheld unit.  If you break your printer or need an ink cartridge, go to Staples, Office Max, Wal Mart, or anywhere else and buy a replacement.  You don't need to rely on us.
  • The reports you print out on your PC can be reviewed before printing.  You may sometimes wish only to review the information and not actually print the reports.  With this program, you can do so.
  • There are more field settings on the PC for load-related information.  You can add a customer and a lot number to any bundle to include it in a shipment needing to be printed.
  • There are many more reports on this mini-printing program than are available on your handheld unit.

What the Mini-Printing Program is Not!

  • This printing program does not accumulate lumber inventory information; so if it is not on the handheld unit, it won't be included on the reports.
  • Any changes you make to the bundles or loads are not reflected back on the handheld unit.  The information is uploaded to the input medium only, and no updates are reflected back on the handheld when the card is reinserted.
  • You cannot edit the log information in a bundle.  You must do this on the handheld before the information is uploaded.  You may, however, add bundles to a shipment.
