Windows Mobile Device Center

Windows Mobile Device Center

This  is a communication package that superceded Microsoft Active Sync.  It is now being used on newer computers running WIndows Vista or Windows 7.  It may or may not be loaded on your computer that you may have just purchased, but it can be downloaded from Microsoft's web site; and it is free, so you don't have to worry about that.

To download WIndows Mobile Device Center for WIndows Vista (32 bit) click here.

To download WIndows Mobile Device Center for Windows 7 click here.

Note:  If you try and download a copy of Windows Mobile Device Center for an operating system that is different from what you clicked on above, you will be redirected to the proper page so you don't need to worry.

Once Windows Mobile Device Center for your computer has been installed, you can connect your handheld unit up to the PC/Laptop/Netbook and then make use of it in much the same way as you would use File Explorer.
