Ranger 300X/500X End of Model

In March, 2011 Trimble anounced that they were discontinuing making the Trimble 300 and Trimble 500 line of handheld computers.  These units are being replaced with the Trimble 3L handheld unit.

Asa company we will continue to sell parts for these two models as long as they are available and I am guessing there should not be any problem until around 2016  so you shouldn't worry on stocking up on spare batteries and chargers and handstraps right away.

Just want you to be aware of the change.

We aren't happy with the new replacement unit and we aren't going  to promote it heavily but we have sold several so far to non-forestry users but our testers find that the unit is just too big and bulky for the average user so we are going to promote the Allegro MX line until we find something as good.
