MyMobiler - Desktop Training & Support Tool

On 4/14/2011 we implemented a new training and remote assistance and support tool.  This is a  new program which we can send to users of Windows CE.Net and Windows Mobile devices will allow you, the user, to see what is on your handheld unit directly on the PC.  You can actually run the handheld by keying in the same information on your PC.

What this allows you to do is 4 things:

1)  If you are a new customer we can log in to your PC using Logmein.Com or Remote Desktop and have you connect your handheld to your desktop and we can see and run your handheld from our remote location.  This will speed up problem resolution and the downloading of updates to your handheld unit when that becomes necessary.

2)  If you are a new user of one of our systems we can train you 3 times as fast because what you see is what we will see.  The amount of on-site training, if any now, is greatly reduced since we can train you in the comfort of your office and us back at home.  Costs will come down because of this and phone training time will take 1/3 of the time it use to.

3)  If it becomes necessary to update your application on your handheld we can now do it completely remotely.  All you will have to do is connect it to your PC for us and we can do the rest.

4)  If you have a reduced keyboard (numeric keys only) this new feature will allow you to do setup work faster.  You can type in new customers faster and change prices faster.  Even if you have a full keyboard handheld unit typing on a desktop or laptop is going to be faster too.

Cost?

MyMobiler is a freeware program that is distributed without cost.  If you can get logmein to run we can download it for you and set it up for you.  The program is free.  Expect to be billed about $75 for the setup work and any cost associated with Logmein.Com, if you opt for the non-free version, no reason to spend money.

Time?

It will takes about 15 - 20 minutes to setup your PC with this new application.

Who will Benefit?

If you have an Allegro CX, or and Allegro MX, a Ranger 300X or 500X, or a Nomad 800B this application will work for you.  If you have an older Allegro CE/DOS or Allegro DOS or Allegro CE then Windows MyMobiler will not work for you.

Note:  All new on-site installs will come with Logmein.Com and MyMobiler implemented.
