Rental Units Available
| Starting June 1st, 2008 we will have a limited number of rental units featuring the Husky FS/2 and a system of your choice and an Epson LX 300 printer and users manual for $500 down and $125 / month. The full amount of the rental will be applied to a future purchase. The Husky FS/2 system price is $2,595 so you can own this system in a short 17 months. Travel and training is included in the rental price. Systems include: Lumber End Tally, Log Scaling, Timber Cruising, and Green Chain Grading. |
Jett Tally Users Take Caution
If you are considering buying 2 Technologies hand held units through Forestry Systems you need to be aware that you can only run Forestry Systems software on them and that the units cannot be used for anything else. You cannot get into Windows to run any other user's system. On 5/5/08 we were told by 2 Technologies that they would not remove FSI software from any unit or assist in loading the necessary drivers to redefine the keys on the keyboard to make it work with any other than the original provider's system. They will also not repair these units directly. If you are unhappy with the products or service you get from FSI then you are basically out of luck. 2 Technologies made the decision that their commitment to their partners/resellers was more important than to the ultimate users of their hand held units. You decide if this is the kind of service and support that you want. Voice your complaints directly to techsupport@2t.com. This is not a complaint with Forestry Systems since they may market and support their products as they wish but you have a sizable investment in the hardware and you should make sure the manufacturer is behind you even if the software provider at a later time is not. Current customers not satisfied include Altenburg Hardwoods, Ohio Valley Veneer, Norwalk Furniture amongst others.

Tripod Data Systems Recon
A great inexpensive unit for receiving logs, taking physical inventories, doing check scales, milling logs, doing tag only sales and a number of other bar code oriented tasks. With its numeric keyboard it is also a good tool for log purchases.
